Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Gender is one of the cross cutting themes of our development. Gender development encompasses the multifaceted process through which individuals acquire and internalize their gender identity, roles, and behaviors. It extends beyond the binary framework of male and female, recognizing diverse gender expressions and experiences. Gender in Development Programme of Shreyas reached out to more than 75000 individuals in its operational areas by helping them meet their health, education and livelihoods requirements and aspirations. Shreyas has taken on roles such as advocacy, education and training, and has been active in monitoring what has, or has not, been achieved.
